HISTORY

In 1987, our present Managing Director/owner, Mr. Anthony de Freitas, was in search of a job as the travel company with whom he had worked for the last 12 years had closed its doors.

Mr. de Freitas together with two other shareholders formed Swift Travel Service which opened it's doors on November 16th 1987 at a small office located in the city of San Fernando.

In 1990 the shareholders of Swift Travel Service seeing that the economy was growing and that their services were becoming more in demand, realized that they had now outgrown their original location.

In 1992 they were ready to invest for the future of Swift Travel Service and so purchased it's present home on one of the main streets leading to the city of San Fernando - 7 Circular Road.

Swift Travel's central location provides adequate parking facilities and easy access to and from the main business and residential areas in San fernando, therefore allowing us to better serve our continuously growing clientelle.

From inception Swift Travel Service has been considered one of the top 10 agencies in Trinidad and Tobago and has been honoured by many of the leading airlines such as BWIA, American Airlines and British Airways for their outstanding sales performance.

Today Swift Travel Service is under the directorship of Mr. Anthony de Freitas and Mrs. Theresa de Freitas and continues to be one of the top 10 producing agencies in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr. de Freitas, together with six highly qualified and experienced staff mambers maintain very high standards in serving their clients. Their motto being "We provide a service that is 'tailor made' to the unique needs of each individual'"

Swift Travel Service is currently in the process of expanding its services and has begun by introducing an on-line booking system to better serve all the needs of our vast clientelle.
